I’m heading all the way from Scotland to Las Vegas, and in this post, I’m going to share with you what you’re going to get – or what you might miss out on – if you’re not attending ScaleCon 2024 in Las Vegas.
If you’re not familiar, ScaleCon is a major event for managed service providers (MSPs), organized by Nigel from The Tech Tribe and Taher from MSP Camp. These two industry giants have joined forces to create a powerhouse event, combining their expertise to provide value for MSPs looking to grow their businesses. As a member of The Tech Tribe, I’ve seen their content and collaborations pop up on my radar, including the marketing campaigns MSP Camp has been running for The Tech Tribe.
When Taher reached out to me a few months back to ask if I wanted to speak at ScaleCon, I was all in. He wanted me to cover Search Engine Optimization (SEO), something I’m known for in the MSP space. Along with many other industry experts, I’ll be delivering value-packed sessions at the event.
So, What is ScaleCon?
In a nutshell, ScaleCon is all about helping MSPs adopt a growth mindset for their businesses. Every speaker and workshop is focused on one thing: growth for your MSP. Whether it’s through marketing strategies, sales processes, or operational improvements, the event is packed with actionable insights designed to help you scale.
The Speakers and Workshops at ScaleCon 2024
Here’s a preview of some of the amazing speakers lined up:
- Kevin Clune: Known for his growth hacks, Kevin will be diving into lead magnets and CRM management. I'm curious to see whether he’ll tackle MSP-specific or industry-specific lead magnets, a tricky area to master.
- Paul Green: A fellow UK MSP marketing expert from The MSP Marketing Edge, Paul will be talking about building audiences, a topic he’s well-versed in. I'm excited to catch up with him after not seeing him for a few years.
- Nate Freedman: Nate is a pro when it comes to MSP websites, and his session will focus on building websites that convert visitors into clients. Having recently tuned into one of his webinars, I can say he’s incredibly knowledgeable on this topic.
- Hunter Nelson: Hunter will be covering Google Ads. I know firsthand that Hunter’s an expert in this area, as I often compete with his ads in the MSP space. He knows his stuff, and I’m excited to see what insights he shares.
- Harrison Baron: A prolific content creator on YouTube, Harrison will be discussing hot lead generation tips and effective prospect lists. His talk is sure to provide actionable strategies.
- Hunter Farlow: His session will cover direct mail campaigns. Given my past experience with direct mail (let’s just say my results weren’t great), I’m eager to see how Hunter’s system differs.
- Steven Young: He’ll be talking about telesales and telemarketing processes that work for MSPs, which is crucial for anyone looking to streamline their sales operations.
- Zamir Javer: Zamir will be discussing omnipresence marketing – from retargeting to email campaigns and LinkedIn connections – making sure you’ve got all bases covered when it comes to staying visible to prospects.
Day 2 and 3: More Content, More Value
On day two, we’ve got:
- Brian Gillette: He’ll dive into the sales process, offering MSPs a structured approach to close more deals.
- Jennifer Bleam: Covering the cybersecurity sales process, Jennifer is a must-see speaker. Her book on cybersecurity sales is an excellent read if you're offering these services.
- Taher Hamid: Back on stage, this time talking about cross-selling to current clients. This session will be perfect for account managers looking to maximize client relationships.
The keynote on day two will be delivered by none other than Paul Green, who will focus on building multiple audiences for your MSP, an essential topic for sustainable growth.
Day three, though, is where it gets really exciting – not just because I’ll be speaking! I’ll be covering national SEO in a session titled "From Scarcity to Abundance." My talk will encourage you to stop focusing solely on local SEO and start thinking bigger with a national strategy.
Other highlights include:
- Robert Gillette: He’ll be doing sales training, and I’m really looking forward to this one. Robert’s approach is practical and effective, so it’s bound to be a great session.
- Matt Solomon: From Channel Program, Matt will talk about running successful events for your MSP, which I’m personally keen to learn more about since I help MSPs run webinars.
- Hunter Farlow: He’ll be back to share insights on direct mail campaigns – again, something I’m really intrigued by, given my past experiences (failures).
